The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, yesterday decorated one of its officer, Danjuma Ibrahim, who was accused of complicity in the 2005 Apo killings. Danjuma was decorated with the rank of Assistant Inspector General (AIG) at the Force Headquarters in Abuja yesterday alongside other police personnel.
Recall that last November, an investigative panel set up by the police, reinstated Danjuma after the court discharged and acquitted him from the case. He was immediately reinstated into the force after a 12 year suspension. Before his suspension, he was the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of operations at the FCT Command.
