The Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, yesterday in a signed by Mohammed Mariam Alhassan, it's Chairman of Publicity Committee said that former members who defected with the Senator representing Kwara Central, Dr. Bukola Saraki, to the All Progressive Congress, APC, are planning to return.
“Information reaching us indicates that the topmost leadership of the dissidents have been begging and prostrating in Abuja to return to our fold despite their flamboyant exit as if they have the capacity to stay without the cover of the centre."
“While we refuse their desperate moves because in politics, the more we are in number, the merrier, we wish to categorically state that those who intend to join us now will not only be coming back as new members as they must also realise that a new leadership structure had been properly defined and anybody who is coming back now will have to join the queue or stay away.”
However, National Mirror reports that one of Senator Saraki's supporters, Prince Yemi Afolayan, has rubbished the allegations, saying "the claim that we are pleading to come back to the PDP can only exist in the infantile imagination of those behind the rumour”.
