Entertainment Dele Odule elected as first TAMPAN president

The newly formed Theater Arts and Movie Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), held its first election on December 20, 2014, and popular Nollywood Entertainer, Dele Odule, was elected the first president.

The veteran actor, Odule, was pronounced winner by the TAMPAN chairman of electoral committee, Lateef Deinde.

In his acceptance speech, Odule vowed to kick out the influence of godfatherism, and carry along all its members in the affairs of the association.

Also, Antar Laniyan was elected the deputy president, while Abbey Lanre was voted the Director of Motion Pictures.

Bolaji Amusan a.k.a Mr Latin, was voted as Director of Organization and Business, while Yomi Fash Lanso was elected as Director of Publicity and Research.

TAMPAN was established in February 2014, after some members walked away from The Association of Nigerian Theater Practitioners (ANTP).
