Five farmers in Delta state have been hacked to death by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
The herdsmen carried out the attack last Tuesday and Wednesday in Abraka and Obaruku communities of the state. There has been a running battle between both parties.
The lifeless bodies of two cousins in Ekpu, Abraka were found in their farms shortly after they refused to allow herdsmen graze on their farms.
Another farmer was reportedly shot by herdsmen and his brother was hacked to death as well, with his fingers cut off.
Two males and one female were also killed in a separate incident along the Abraka-Benin road.
