The Delta State Commissioner for Secondary and Basic Education, Professor Patrick Muoboghare has been stabbed several times by aggrieved youths of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in his home town of Uwheru, on allegations of that he manipulated the list of ward congresses held last year.

The Commissioner was stabbed in the arm and abdomen. He was then rushed to the Ufor Hospital, Ughelli and was later referred to Oghara Teaching Hospital for more medical attention.

Due to the excessive bleeding he suffered, sources say that he has been placed on oxygen.

One of the perpetrators of the crime has been caught and is now in police custody. The police has assured the public that the remaining gang members shall be caught and brought to justice, citing that “no one is above the law.”
