National leaders of Nigerian political parties have reiterated that democracy remained the only political option for the country despite the trials the country was going through.
They spoke variously at the end of training at the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, near Jos, Plateau State late on Thursday.
“Democracy has given all Nigerians their voices and everyone is speaking, this is too important to ignore and any attempt to truncate democracy will be stiffly resisted by Nigerians,” Chairman of Intra-Party Advisory Council and National chairman of National Conscience Party (NCP), Dr. Inusa Tanko, said. “There can be no alternative to democracy.”
