Despite denials earlier on Tuesday that the government has no plans to spend $800 million on an international drive to repair its damaged reputation, SaharaReporters has authoritatively learned that President Goodluck Jonathan is sending four of his aides on a three-day public relations foray to Washington DC.
The delegation, which is led by his Special Assistant on Documentation and Strategy, Mr. Oronto Douglas, will include Doyin Okupe, a senior aide on Public Affairs, and Mike Omeri, who is currently the coordinator of the National Information Centre on anti-terrorism.
A fourth official of the government, Von Kemedi is expected on the trip.
