Mild drama ensued at the Federal High Court on Monday, following the arraignment of Dr Dickson Akoh, the commandant of the newly established Peace Corps of Nigeria.
Akoh was brought for arraignment before Justice Gabriel Kolawole of the Federal High Court earlier today.
But while the police and the defence team waited for the case to be called up, the court clerk informed the parties that no date was fixed by the court for the matter.
Akoh was just about leaving the courtroom when he was cornered by some police officers in plain clothes. Was he trying to escape?
The commandant was still discussing with some of his associates who were directing him to a waiting vehicle when he and the other accused persons were cornered by some police officers in plain clothes into a waiting police van.
The police vans - about three - zoomed off in a convoy back to the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
