The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the suspension of stream two orientation programme for 2014 Batch ‘B’ Orientation in six states which was billed to start on Monday September 1 due to the presence of Ebola virus disease in the country.
Director General of the NYSC, Brig Gen Johnson olawumi announced the decision in Kubwa Orientation Camp in the Federal Capital Territory.
The six states affected are Adamawa, Bauchi, Jigawa, Borno, Gombe, and Yobe States.
The Nation reported that Olawumi assured the prospective corps members that they would not suffer unduly as the NYSC would ensure that they were not cheated in any way by staying longer than necessary at home.
