Major-General Charles Ehigie Airhiavbere (Rtd), Edo state Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) standard bearer for July 2012 Governorship election has defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
According to PEOPLES DAILY, Airhiavbere defected on Sunday afternoon at Garrick Memorial School in Benin City, Edo state Capital.
He defected alongside his wife Mrs. Yetunde Airhiavbere, National President of Grassroots Initiative (GYI) and 2015 Senatorial Aspirant of PDP, Mr. Richard Lamai.
He was officially received into the APC by Governor Adams Oshiomhole.
