Egypt's Ministry of Trade and Industry on Sunday announced that a ban on rice exports would be lifted and an export tariff of 2,000 Egyptian pounds($255.43) a tonne would be applied.
According to a statement by the ministry the decision to lift the ban would be valid for six months from the date of publishing it in Egypt's official gazette.
