All Progressives Congress (APC) deputy national chairman (North), Sen. Lawal Shuaibu, has blamed the defeat of the party in Saturday’s guber polls on the failure of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to provide permanent voters cards to many registered voters in the state.
Shuaibu said this led to the disenfranchisement of many APC supporters and prevented them from participating at the polls.
The APC deputy national chairman, who stated this while speaking to our reporter yesterday, said INEC did not publicise the issue of voter’s cards adequately for people to be aware that their permanent voter’s cards were lying in its office in the state.
