Today is the long awaited #Ekiti Gubernatorial elections. According to the Independent National Electoral Commission, #INEC, all is set for a credible and successful election. However, here are a few things you should know before the election commences
- There are 18 candidates representing 18 political parties in today's election
- You need a Permanent Voters Card(PVC) to be able to cast your vote
- You can only vote once and for just one candidate
- Voters accreditation starts by 8am; no accreditation, no voting
- Actual Voting begins by 12:30pm
- About 126,000 policemen have been redeployed to Ekiti for the election; you better behave yourself
- The election will be conducted in the 16 local government areas of Ekiti
- About 732,106 voters are expected to vote
- There are 2,195 polling units in Ekiti for today
- You can secure your vote by waiting till counting begins in your polling unit
