Nigeria - Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose seems to have settled the 19 aggrieved APC lawmakers he is having a disagreement with, PUNCH reports.

This is as a result of the fence mending meeting both parties had last week. The agreement between the warring parties is that once the lawmakers are paid their outstanding allowances, they will sheathe their sword and jettison their plan to impeach the governor.

Reports say the lawmakers, led by the embattled Speaker, Dr. Adewale Ominrin were paid the said allowances sometime last week.

However there is apprehension that the truce may suffer a setback with the inauguration of President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday.

There are concerns that the party might want to use federal might to unseat the governor who was a pain in the neck during campaigns for the president, and published many hate advertisements.

However, a court had earlier ordered the warring parties to maintain the status quo.

In the interest of peace that can only accentuates economic growth and development of Ekiti.

The 19 lawmakers should go back and join thier majority-in-minority colleagues if thier salaries and allowances have been paid or plegdged to be paid to them since money is on the top of thier negotiation list.

Their other demands among others is that there should be the 'restiutio in integrum'. In other words for Omirin to be reinstated as the speaker. This may not be possible since thier loyalty to the Fayose has been challenged.

The 19 have traded thier positions for cowardice. Sorry I am not laughing at them.

If their own priority on the list of their agreement with Fayose isn't the restoration of Omirin as speaker, then they shouldn't be taken serious. Anyone that can be bought with money shouldn't be trusted.
