Political parties and aspirants in Ekiti- state, have defied the Jan. 16, directive of the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) to remove their posters
Investigations across the state on Monday revealed that rather than obeying the directive, aspirants were pasting more posters and raising billboards.
A drive round Ado-Ekiti showed that the major streets of the ancient town were adorned with posters and billboards by aspirants who want to be governor in the 2014 election in the state.
There were posters in other towns like Aramoko, Oye Efon Alaye, Ikole, Omuo and Ikere- Ekiti.
One of the aspirants who pledged anonymity, said that he would not do anything to undermine the law against campaigning and denied knowing those printing and pasting posters on his behalf.
