World Elderly Couple, Denied Euthanasia, Commits Double Suicide

The Suicides of Georgette and Bernard Cazes, both 86 has sparked a renewed clamour for the legalisation of Euthanasia in France.

The couple who were married for more than 60 years died holding hands in a romantic hotel and left a letter to authorities 'demanding the right to die in a dignified manner'.

One of their sons said the couple had been planning their death for years as they ddid not want to become burdens to family and the state.

One argument against legalized euthanasia is that it will make it easy for greedy heirs to kill their parents and grandparents so they can inherit quickly. Same for spouses...
