Sports Elderson Echiejile Seeks Loan Move To Impress Super Eagles Coach

Super Eagles left back, Elderson Echiejile has revealed that he's not satisfied with his bench role at AS Monaco, therefore requesting his club's permission to seek more playing time and action elsewhere.

The Nigerian defender, who was left out of the Brazil 2014 squad has been linked with a French Ligue 1 side, Lille and two other unnamed Spanish sides.

This move may be in line with coach Sunday Oliseh's criteria for inviting players to the national team.

The Nigerian international appeared for his side 22 times last sseason and crowning his performance with a goal but he's said he is not prepared to play second fiddle to French star Lavyin Kurzawa this term.

"Elderson is most likely to go out on loan to get more regular action and that could be decided in the coming days if we get a good valuation for him," a close source told Goal.

"He is looking forward to get more playing time and staying fit to represent his country."

Echiejile who joined Monaco for a fee in the region of €4.5million will play no part in Tuesday night's UEFA Champions League second leg clash at home to Young Boys.

He was a key part of the side that reached the UCL quarter finals last season where they lost to eventual finalists Juventus.
