Nigeria - According to a Daily Post report, Godwin Emefiele, in the near future might cease be governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Reports say the apex bank boss isn't happy with the current situation of the economy, especially with president Muhammadu Buhari's approach.
‘Buharinomics’, as called, was stringently implemented to revive the slumbering banking industry and curb local currency hoarding.
There are also reports his resolve to resign was also connected with Buhari's order that the color of Naira notes be changed.
Its believed that Emefiele, reluctant to implement Buhari’s instruction, almost tendered his resignation in the past few days but for the persuasion of some prominent Nigerians, including two Bank Chairmen.
