Sports Enyeama; Musa To Battle Yaya Toure, Others For African Player Of The Year Award

The new Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, his predecessor, Vincent Enyeama will again battle the four time African Footballer of the year, Yaya Toure in next January's Gala, where the best player in the continent would be crowned.

Ivory Coast midfielder, Yaya Toure helped his country to their first Afcon title in over a decade, but failed to win a ssilverware with his EPL side, City last season.

Enyeama, who plays for French club Lille, has been impressive in goal for his side while Ahmed Musa was instrumental in his side's champions league qualification following his superb form for Russian army club CSKA Moscow in the year under review.

The Confederation of African Football released on Sunday a list of 37 exceptional players in Africa, doing business all over the globe to battle the former Barcelona midfielder for the award.

England-based stars Riyad Mahrez from Algeria, Yannick Bolasie of DR Congo, Ghana’s Andre Ayew, Mame Diouf from Senegal, Kenya’s Victor Wanyama and Gabon skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are also on the list.
