Enyimba go top of the Nigerian league

Former champions of the Nigeria Professional Football League,Enyimba international have now gone top of the league for the first time this season.
Enyimba who have spent the greater part of this season aside the top four,on Sunday defeated visiting Kaduna United to shoot themselves to the top.
The victory moved Enyimba slightly ahead of defending champions,Kano Pillars in the league’s standings.
It was not smooth sailing for Enyimba,as they had to endure difficult spells from a spirited Kaduna United.
Not until the 81st minute,before they could break the deadlock courtesy of a strike from Ifeany Ede.
After the week 26 games,both teams have a points tally of 42 points but Enyimba currently edges it by virtue of a superior goals difference of +7 however Pillars have two games in hand while Enyimba have one more.
