Elders of the three Tiv ethnic stocks that make up the MINDA bloc in the North West senatorial district of Benue State, penultimate week, selected four out of the 18 Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirants from the area seeking to occupy the state’s foremost position in next year’s general election.
The intention of the elders was to enhance the chances of the bloc made up of the Masev, Iharev and Nongov groups in clinching the seat in 2015 thereby screening out 14 other aspirants.
