Former Minister of Education, Mrs Oby Ezekwesili has liken President Muhadmmadu Buhari to ex-president, Goodluck Jonathan over his silent on Southern Kaduna killings in Kaduna state.

Presidential spokesperson, Mr. Femi Adesina had on Monday morning on Channels Television Sunrise Daily programme said Mr. Buhari kept silent over Southern Kaduna killings because the state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, is capable of handling the situation.

But the former Minister criticised the president for being silent over security issues saying: "Centralized CONTROL of Security establishment in our Federal System makes it IMPERATIVE for a President and C-in-C to NEVER BE SILENT in such cases".

"Sadly, same way that your predecessors told us that then President did not have to speak of ChibokGirls", she said.

About six persons lost their lives in Goska village, Jema’a local Government Area in the early hours of Christmas.

The victims included a teenage secondary school student, Gimbia Morik, daughter of a former council chairman in Jema’a.

The killings, by suspected herdsmen, occurred despite Jema’a and two other local governments – Kaura and Zango Kataf – being under a 24-hour curfew.
