Lagos lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN), has written to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, citing 13 grounds on why it should prosecute the Minister of Aviation, Ms Stella Oduah, and “her agents” for a high level of misconduct in the purchase of the two controversial armoured vehicles.
Falana had in a letter written to the Commission on November 2, 2013 asked the EFCC chairman, Mr. Ibrahim Lamorde, that he has till November 8 to make available to him the investigation report on the matter.
Citing the decision of the Court of Appeal in the case of Dogogo v EFCC (2013), the lawyer said he will sue the EFCC if it does not want to carry out its “statutory duty” with regard to the Aviation scandal.
He further faulted the House of Representatives Committee on Aviation that interrogated the Minister on October 31, for deliberately avoiding relevant questions on the controversial transaction.
