Ekiti State governor, Kayode Fayemi, has said that Ekiti State people will accept the outcome of today’s governorship election in the state if the process is not compromised. Fayemi said that freeness, fairness and credibility of the election are inimitable conditions for the acceptance of the outcome of the poll by the people of Ekiti State.
The governor, in a statewide broadcast yesterday, said that the election offered Ekiti people the greatest opportunity in their history to deepen democracy and culture of freedom, having listened to candidates of political parties since March 23 when the ban on political activities was lifted.
