Several houses owned by Ekiti state governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, has been seized by the EFCC, the Punch reports
.
The properties are located in highbrow areas of Lagos state and Abuja, Punch said, adding that they were seized as part of investigations into a N1.2bn Fayose allegedly received from ex Defense Minister Musiliu Obanikoro, which are funds meant to procure arms for the Nigerian military.
Two of the properties on 32 Yedseram Street and 44 Osun River Crescent, Maitama, Abuja, had the inscriptions ‘EFCC, Keep Off’ on their fences. Together, they are worth N407m, Punch says.
The properties seized in Lagos were four duplexes located at Plot 100 Tiamiyu Savage Street, Victoria Island. The four duplexes cost $1.3m (N364m) each.
