IfeanyiUbah FC player, Onyekachi Nwaiwu has said that he's confident that his side will dethrone Enyimba as the champions of Nigeria Professional Football League.
The Anambra based outfit finished 11th at the end of the 2015 league season despite showing lots of promises at the beginning of the campaign.
Nwaiwu blamed their poor finish on the lack of continuity at the technical level but reveals normalcy has returned and that will help them in their quest to win their first NPFL title next season.
“I am very certain we will bounce back stronger to win the league next season,” Nwaiwu told Goal.
“We never had it too good as we had lots of shakeup in the technical department which affected the momentum we started with.
“As a team just returning from the Nigeria National League, it’s not a bad outing for us as we placed 11th though we could have done better if some things were in place.
“During the off season, we would restrategise and take everyone by surprise because we are disappointed not to finish in the top three which could have earned us a continental ticket.
“Hopefully, the management would also secure the services of some good players to make our squad very thick,” he concluded
