The ban will take effect from January 2015 and elapsing in January 2016,before Barcelona can be allowed to make any transfer activity.

Barcelona filed an appeal over case about transfer of young players, after they were found guilty for signing minors.

They will no longer be allowed to sign new players after this current window, until January 2016.

"FC Barcelona is to serve a transfer ban which will see the club prevented from registering any players at both national and international level for two complete and consecutive transfer periods," read a FIFA statement.

Barcelona were originally punished in April this year and they appealed, which turned out unsuccessful.

They have in this transfer window made business deal worth around £130m in the acquisition of new players
