Following the initial acrimony and divisions that greeted the National Conference proposed by President Goodluck Jonathan among Yoruba groups, the region has begun working together so as to present a united front at the dialogue.
In this regard, various Yoruba groups, which were previously working at cross purposes, were present at a meeting held at Ishara-Remo, Ogun State Monday where it was resolved that of the 15 delegates coming to the region, the six states will produce two each while Yoruba leaders would use their discretion to nominate persons to fill the remaining three slots.
Apparently, as a result of the urgent need to jettison the divisions among the people, allies of former Lagos State Governor, Senator Bola Tinubu, were present at the meeting where it was agreed that other groups should coalesce under what has been named Yoruba Assembly on National Conference.
