Nigeria's former minister of Transport Umaru Dikko died this morning in the United Kingdom.

According to Sahara Reporters, his family in London and Kaduna state have confirmed news of his passing. Dikko was a staunch member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

He was aged 78.
