Metro Fulani Herdsmen Attack: Enugu Community Gets Relief Materials From NEMA [Photo]

The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, has donated relief materials worth millions of naira to residents of Nimbo community, in Uzo-Uwani local government area of Enugu State who were victims of recent attack by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

On the presentation of the relief materials to the devastated community, Director- General of NEMA, Alhaji Mohammad Sani Sidi, who sympathized with the people, said the federal government shares in their grief and pains.

The NEMA chief, who was represented by the South East zonal coordinator of NEMA, Martin Ejike Udeinya, said the gesture was in line with the agency’s mandate of responding to disaster affected communities in the country.

He said, “We are here today to present relief materials to Nimbo community after carrying out a comprehensive assessment of the damage done to the area recently. These items is to cushion the effect of the damage in the community.”
