APC National Leader, Bola Tinubu had a hand in the removal of Yahaya Jammeh as the president of Gambia, Vanguard reports.

It has emerged that Tinubu provided the plane used to privately fly Jammeh out of Gambia.

When contacted for the use of the aircraft, Tinubu, who was in Conakry at that time, reportedly agreed, stating that it should only be used for the sole purpose of restoring peace and democracy in The Gambia.

The VP-CBT Falcon jet, which had been with Guinean President, Alpa Conde for days, was stationed in Banjul to ferry Jammeh out of the country after 22 years in power.

Reports say Tinubu is a personal friend of Guinea President Alpha Conde, who together with Mauritania’s President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz spent much of Friday in Banjul persuading Jammeh to leave power.
