World Ghana Radio Announces Nana Akufo-Addo As President-Elect

Ghanaian opposition leader, Nana Akufo-Addo has been announced winner of the country's presidential election after winning majority of the votes.

Two influential radio stations- Joy FM and Citi FM, made the announcement.

Joy FM’s website showed that Nana won 53.27 percent of the vote while incumbent President John Mahama got 44.93 percent.

The station added that the results are based on its count of 233 constituencies, out of 275.

Citi FM also gave Akufo-Addo 54.97 percent based on 231 constituencies.
