Governor Ayodele Fayose has suspended the Permanent Secretary at the Ekiti State Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Oludare Abegunde and three other high- ranking officers at the ministry.
They were suspended for alleged incompetence and mismanagement of the government's farmlands.
According to reports, Fayose said he wasn't satisified with the poor management of some of the state-owned farmlands at Emerin and Erifun communities along Federal Polytechnic road in Ado-Ekiti.
Fayose also immediately ordered the constitution of a panel of inquiry to investigate the activities being carried out on the farmlands.
