Nasarawa State Governor, Tanko Al-Makura, yesterday denied report that he has abandoned the state.
Speaking through his media aide, Ahmed Tukur, the governor stated that he was in the state performing his constitutional duties.
The statement said the allegation was not only malicious but the figment of the imagination of bitter oppositions of the governor who are out to create confusion using devilish assumptions to achieve selfish goals.

The statement reads in part, “The publication needed clarification but for reason best known to the writer who neither contacted the deputy governor, Silas Agara nor did he get across to any government official for clarification as claimed.
“For the avoidance of doubt, Governor Al-Makura is not missing but has been conducting the affairs of the state as enshrined by the constitution of the federal Republic of Nigeria".
