Business Governor Ambode Set To Relocate Computer Village

The Lagos state government has reiterated on its readiness for the relocation of the computer village to Kontagora market in Agbado Oke Odo council area of the state before the year runs out.

Wasiu Anifowoshe, Lagos State Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban development, made this known at a recent ministerial press briefing in Alausa, stressing that under former Governor Babatunde Fashola’s administration, the State had mapped out N500 million for the project, which was never executed.

Anifowoshe said, “Another Urban Development project on the front burner is the development of Katangowa Market in Agbado/Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area, the market will accommodate businesses currently operating in the Ikeja Computer Village.

The market, when fully completed, would boast of world class facilities that would enhance trade at the centre. I am also pleased to inform you that the second Phase of Tejuoso Ultra- Modern Market is ready for full business operations; furthermore, Urban Renewal studies are currently being carried out across the three Senatorial districts of Lagos State”.
