The 78-year-old mother of the Bayelsa State Commissioner for Lands and Survey, Furuebi Akene, has been kidnapped.
The commissioner’s mother was abducted from the Fonibiri Community of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of the State at about 12 noon on Saturday.
The abducted mother of the commissioner, Patimi Akene, was whisked away by about 6 armed men at her home close to the waters in the community. Her son, Mr. Akene, told journalists that the gunmen kidnapped his mother without firing a shot.
