Less than 48 hours after gunmen kidnapped 86-year-old Pa Benson Adigio-Eseni, uncle of former governor Timipre Sylva, another set of gunmen in the wee hours of yesterday kidnapped the 90-year-old mother of Senator Emmanuel Paulker, representing Bayelsa Central, Madam Florentina Paulker.
This is the second time Madam Florentina would be kidnapped. She was kidnapped on February 23, 2010 by gunmen, who demanded N100 million ransom for her freedom.
Sources stated that the attack, which occurred at about 3a.m, caused panic in the area as many residents made frantic calls to the state police command security outfit, Operation Doo Akpo, which also responded swiftly.
