Over the weekend, unknown gunmen opened fire on Muslim worshipers in Bukuru area of Jos, leaving three persons injured.
According to DAILY TRUST, the incident occurred around 8:00pm during Tarawi prayers, after breaking of the fast. sa Abubakar, a youth from the community, said this was the fifth time such an attack was taking place in the area adding that "the gun men came from Gyel and the fired sporadically at a mosque, no one was killed but three people sustained injuries."
Captain Ikedichi Iweha, Special Task Force (STF), Media and Information Officer confirmed the attack on phone and said the situation was brought under control by the task force.
