The Federal Capital Territory’s Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has released its approved hajj fares for this year’s pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.
A statement from the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Muhammad Lawal Aliyu, said the minimum fare this year is N1,032,068.80 with a Basic Travel Allowance of $750, while the medium seat goes for N1,081,318.80 with a Basic Travel Allowance of $1000.
The statement added that maximum category for this year’s hajj is N1,179,818.80 and will get a Basic Travel Allowance of $1,500.
He stated that intending pilgrims from the FCT for this year’s hajj have up to Friday June 24, 2016 to balance their fare or lose their seat.
The spokesperson explained that the measure has become necessary to enable the board meet the deadline for the balance of payment for this year’s hajj fare give by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
