Sympathizers and former co-workers of Eddie Adegun, 81-year old Nigerian Engineer who was basedin the United Kingdom until after his demise are currently trying to locate his family.
According to Uhuru Times, Adegun died leaving no known relatives. He worked at Asda in Hyde, Manchester for more than eight years after retirement until just days before Christmas when he lost his battle with throat cancer.
He worked nights on the checkout where he was known to customers for his catchphrase 'Alright!'.
In a bid to locate Adegun's family, Chairman of the Nigeria Community Manchester (NCM), Mr. Ade Arogundade, released a statement saying "“It is sad to hear about Mr Adegun’s death. Nigeria Community Manchester (NCM) will want to participate in the funeral arrangement. We have been trying to locate people who may know him whether they are friends or relatives. If there is still any information MEN may want to share with us, please, contact me, the Chairman of NCM, on 07956916741 or at [email protected]".
