On Sunday, no fewer than two persons were killed following in Gidan Sule Village in Nasarawa state, this follows the renewed attack by suspected Fulani herdsmen. Several houses were also razed and scores of people left injured by the attack.
According to an eyewitness, the suspected herdsmen attacked the village along the Lafia-Makurdi road, at about 6.00 am, shooting sporadically at any object even as they set houses within the vicinity ablaze simultaneously.
However, the Nasarawa state police command has denied any knowledge of the attack.
