PUNCH has thrown more light into the travel story. The newspaper reports that there was a mild drama at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja on Friday, as Diezani ran to catch up with the President-elect, Buhari.

A source on the ground, who witnessed the drama, said, ''The man (Buhari) was at the front and had already passed the screening team. And immediately the woman (Diezani) came down, it was as if they told her that the President-elect was already inside the aircraft, so she started running. She even left her people behind so that she could board the flight along with the President-elect. This happened between 4am and 5am this (Friday) morning and the airline involved was British Airways. The flight was on its way from Abuja international airport to Heathrow Airport, London''.

Buhari should beware of this woman. She appears to be a femme fatale, a 'fàwò-rajà' in a local parlance.

It is important that the detail of her issues be made public by the incoming govt. Disclosure is an integral part of accountability.

This will probably end up in a cold war. The negotiations are just beginning... she certainly has plenty of information to hand about many past deals that should give us some exciting dramas in months to come. The one good thing about the downfall of this regime is now we know how Nigeria has been run for decades - oil blocks, subsidies, contracts, privatization etc etc.. no dividend to the major shareholders of this entity - the people.
