There was a huge explosion as fire engulfed Takwa Bay area in Lagos when some suspected vandals allegedly punctured petroleum pipelines, thereby causing a shut down in the lines of fuel distribution.
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) spokesperson Ibrahim Farinloye told #sunnewsonline.com that the incident occurred in the middle of the night, adding that, “valves and supplies have been shut down to suffocate the fire.”
He added that safety officials from the Nigerian National Petroleum Cooperation (NNPC) Atlas Cove base are already working to put out the fire.
