A boat carrying hundreds of passengers along the Niger River in central Mali has capsized, and nearly 200 people remain unaccounted for hours later.
Konna Mayor,Sory Diakite at least 400 passengers were believed to have been on board the vessel, though only 210 survivors had been counted. 20 bodies had been recovered by midday.
The boat was travelling to the northern town of Timbuktu when it capsized Friday about 7km from Konna. (AP)
