Hurricane Matthew, the most powerful storm in the Caribbean in decades has claimed over a hundred lives in Haiti.
One local official told AFP that 50 people died from the hurricane in the southern town of Roche-a-Bateau alone.
"The whole southern coast of Haiti, from the town of Les Cayes to Tiburon, is devastated," Pierre-Louis Ostin, an official, said.
Aerial images from the south-western town of Jeremie show hundreds of homes flattened. New images from remote and cut off areas in the south-west of the country also show scenes of devastation.
The storm is currently pounding the Bahamas, after slicing through Haiti and Cuba. Reports say it is heading for Florida.
It has been upgraded to a Category Four storm, the second highest hurricane classification,
