Former military Head of State, Abdulsalami Abubakar, a retired General, has expressed hope that the country would soon overcome the current insurgency that has created security challenges for the nation.
Abubakar, who spoke on Tuesday at the commissioning of the newly renovated Ilorin General Hospital, noted that such challenges were affecting development of the country.
He said as someone who witnessed the triumph of the country over a civil war and a leader who facilitated return of the country to democracy he was troubled by the challenges.
