Engr. Danjuma Bussa, coordinator of Abuja natives for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to LEADERSHIP, speaking on why he left the PDP, Bussa said lack of internal democracy in the selection of candidates at all ties of government made him to jump ship, stressing that it will be difficult for the PDP to regain its stronghold in the territory.
''I have been an APC supporter even before the elections. I am a progressive man by nature and birds of the same feathers flock together. The problem of PDP in the FCT is that the party lacks internal democracy. Just look at the way the candidates that contested the National Assembly elections emerged. They practically imposed them on us. No consultation was done because they have a godfather somewhere. Immediately after the party’s primary, my body and soul was for the APC'', Bussa said.
