Former military Head of State, General Ibrahim Babangida (rtd), has urged Nigerian politicians to be good losers during electoral contests by accepting defeat with grace.
He also cautioned politicians against heating up the polity ahead of the 2015 general election so as to avoid any situation that would cause chaos in the country.
Babangida, who was speaking at the presentation of books on Islamic religion, written by the Director General of the National Teachers’ Institute (NTI), Dr. Aminu Ladan Sharehu, yesterday, said only one winner would emerge in any electoral contest, adding that politicians must learn to be good losers and accept defeat with grace and prepare for another race in future instead of becoming bitter and acrimonious.
