The Aba boys, who are at the top of the Nigeria Professional Football League table with 58 points after 32 games, failed to take advantage of Sunshine's 3-0 defeat at Warri on Saturday, but allowed Warri Wolves reduced their points to three after climbing to the second spot once again in two weeks.

Though, Ikhana admitted that the defeat came as a rude shock to him, he insisted that they have put that behind to focus on how to win their remaining six games before the season wraps up.

“I will say confidently that the league title belong to Enyimba despite the shocking 1-2 defeat at Heartland.

“What we need to counter the loss at Heartland is to win our remaining home matches while we strive to pick up at least one or two wins on the road.

“Of course, we never bargained for the type of result we got at Heartland, it’s certain to push up the pressure but I know we will overcome at the end of the day,” said the former Nasarawa United coach to supersport
