The Imo State Government has called for the recall of the Chairman of South East Traditional Rulers’ Council who is also a delegate representing National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria, Eze Cletus Ilomuanya, from the ongoing National Conference.
This is coming on the heels of the withdrawal of the monarch’s certificate as the traditional ruler of Obinugwu which made his nomination to the National Conference possible.
A statement released by the Deputy Chief of Staff and immediate past commissioner of Information of the state, Chinedu Offor, hinted that Eze Ilomuanya was nominated to the National Conference on the platform of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria, and that since he has now purportedly been dethroned, the monarch should be replaced by another serving traditional ruler from the state.
